My Approach

My work is rooted in the belief that land is not a machine to be fixed but a living system to be listened to, understood, and guided. I bring a blend of lived experience, ecological training, and field-tested intuition to every consultation, shaped by a lifetime on farms, in swamps, in vineyards, and across the wild and cultivated landscapes of the West.

I lead with ecological principles that honor the interconnectedness of soil, plants, animals, and people. Agroecology is not a trend; it is the framework that holds both science and tradition in service to the land’s long-term health.

Every landscape speaks. Whether through water patterns, plant health, soil structure, or yield fluctuations, the land tells us what it needs. My work starts by slowing down and paying attention.

I trust both the microscope and the gut. Years of field biology and practical farming have shown me that solutions emerge when we hold data in one hand and instinct in the other.

I work across the full landscape, integrating soil, water, vegetation, livestock, microbes, crops, and people into one cohesive system. Everything is connected, and every solution must reflect that.

I believe in designing for longevity. The choices we make today shape the soil our children inherit. My role is to support systems that last, that regenerate, and that evolve with time.

Because farming is not just a job, it is a relationship. When we align our practices with natural systems, we reduce inputs, increase resilience, and grow food and fiber with integrity. Healing the land is not only possible, it is already happening, one farm at a time. I am here to help you join that movement.
